We love to recommend to our guests what places to visit during their pleasant stay within our walls. And we could only make them begin from a true pearl, admired and envied throughout Europe: Sigurtà Garden Park.
It is the most beautiful park in Europe and Italy, dreamed up and created by Carlo Sigurtà who opened it to the public in 1978. Each square metre of this green work of art is designed to impress.
Statues and fountains, flowers as far as the eye can see and ancient trees, all framed by a gorgeous landscape. Sigurtà Garden Park is truly an evocative place, and a destination that cannot be missed by those visiting Verona’s surroundings. The good news? That it can be reached on foot, from our Relais Borghetto, in just 20 minutes.
Sigurtà Garden Park: what to visit
The park can be seen in a single day, however be prepared to walk. The garden is full of attractions to be rediscovered, between nature and history.
Such as the Large Turf, where you can walk barefoot while admiring the sky and clear air. Or the enigmatic Labyrinth, a real tangle of yew plants, at the centre of which rises a dome, the destination of all explorers. The Great Oak is also breathtaking, 400 years old and 40 metres tall.
We recommend visiting the park during the months of March and April, in fact you will find Tulipanomania, the flowering-event that will enchant you with the colours of over a million tulips, some with wonderful varieties.
Whatever your starting point, the Sigurtà Garden Park will surely surprise you. Simply choose where to direct your steps and open your eyes, nose and heart.
